There really doesn't seem to be very much down on this end of the coast unless you're into racing quads on the dunes, at least compared to the northern coast. That should make it a perfect get-away since we prefer the road less traveled.
It's a pretty amazing location overlooking the harbor from the bluff. Our room is ground level on the ocean side. There is an enclosed hallway leading out to the yard where there are benches and stairs down to the ocean.
Just below us is the dock where they lift the fishing boats out for the night (really!)
Pretty soon we'll go see about dinner and groceries and do a little exploring. Trish didn't get much sleep last night so I think she's going to need an early one tonight.
Tomorrow morning will be a great time to look around town before the parade.
